Deleting a User
Before You Delete
Deleting a user is not reversible. Before proceeding, consider the following:
Historical data: A user's completed Pulse responses and competency scores are stored against their user_id. Deletion may affect the integrity of historical reports and trend analysis that reference that individual.
In-progress reviews: If a Pulse cycle is currently active and the user has a self-review or manager review in progress, deleting them mid-cycle will result in incomplete data for that cycle.
Active PDPs or 1:1 agendas: Any open development plans or agenda items linked to the user will be lost.
If the user is leaving the organisation and you want to preserve their historical data for benchmarking or trend purposes, consider deactivating or archiving the account rather than deleting it outright, if your platform instance supports that option.
Steps to Delete a User
Log in to the Uhubs platform with your administrator account.
Navigate to the Users section from the admin panel.
Search for the user by name.
Chick on the three dots on the right hand side of the user’s name
Select Delete (or the equivalent remove option). You may be asked to confirm the action - read the confirmation prompt carefully, as it will indicate what data will be affected.
Confirm the deletion. The user will be removed from the platform, their account deactivated, and they will no longer appear in active team views or receive survey invitations.
After Deletion
The user will not appear in future Pulse cycles or invitation lists.
Their manager's team view will update to reflect the removal.
Aggregated team and company scores from previous cycles may shift slightly if the deleted user's responses contributed to those averages - this is expected behaviour.
If the user needs to be reinstated at any point, they will need to be added as a new user. Previous response history may not be recoverable depending on how deletion is handled in your instance.
