What's new
You can now add a note in a 1:1 that only you can see, or turn a note you've already written into a private one (and back again).
Who can see a private note
Only the person who wrote it. Not the other person in the 1:1, not their manager, not admins — and private notes are hidden from Uhubs' AI assistants too. This is enforced by the platform, not a setting anyone can change.
How to use it
Open a 1:1
Use Add private block where you'd normally add a note — or click the lock icon on a note you've already written to make it private, and click it again to make it visible once more
Good to know
Private notes are part of the newer 1:1s experience. If you don't see the option, your company may not have this switched on yet — reach out and we can enable it
It appears on 1:1s created from a template. If you don't see it on an older 1:1, create a new one
Why it matters
A private note gives you somewhere to keep your own thoughts before a conversation — questions you want to raise, things you're unsure how to phrase, or reminders for yourself — without worrying about who else might read them.
