Using Deal Coach

How to use Deal Coach — your private, on-demand AI coaching session for working through real deals and walking away with clear next steps.

What is Deal Coach?

Deal Coach is a private, on-demand AI coaching session you can use to talk through a real deal you're working on. Unlike role-play, there's no score at the end — it's a safe space to think out loud, get grounded advice, and walk away with written next steps you can act on.

Every rep gets unlimited sessions. No manager scoreboard, no judgment.

How to start a session

  1. Go to the Deal Coach tab in the Uhubs platform.

  2. Optionally, set a topic for your session — for example: "Help me prep for pricing pushback on a renewal" or "How do I re-engage a deal that's gone quiet?"

  3. Tick any files from your private Locker that are relevant (your own notes, deal docs, etc.).

  4. Choose your format: voice, video, or text.

  5. Hit Start coaching.

Zero setup is required once Deal Coach is switched on for your company.

During the session

Have a natural conversation — ask questions, talk through your concerns, or describe the deal situation in your own words. The AI coach will:

  • Draw on your own files (from your private Locker) and your company's competency framework to ground its advice

  • Cite sources by name so you can see where recommendations come from

  • Ask follow-up questions to help you think through the situation more clearly

After the session

When you end the session, you'll receive a summary covering:

  • What went well in your thinking

  • Areas to develop or watch out for

  • Numbered next steps you can act on immediately

The summary is private to you.

Tips for getting the most out of Deal Coach

Be specific about the deal. The more context you give (stage, objections raised, stakeholders involved), the more relevant the coaching will be.

Use it before high-stakes calls. A 10-minute session before a renewal, pricing conversation, or executive presentation can sharpen your thinking and identify gaps you hadn't considered.

Upload relevant docs to your Locker first. If you have notes, proposals, or email threads related to the deal, adding them to your Locker means the coach can reference them directly.
